Why

In secure meetings, participants must be able to control microphone, audio and security modes quickly and without hesitation. An hard-to-understand control unit can lead to mistakes with serious consequences.

What I did

I designed the physical control unit through interviews, user testing and iterative prototyping. The work was summarised in a design report.

What I learned

How to design for physical interfaces – placement, feel and feedback – and how much user testing reveals that you would never have discovered on your own.
